About Me

Hi. I am currently a PeopleSoft developer and have worked with FSCM since 2004. I started in industry implementing it where I was working then went to another company. After that I was a consultant and contractor for about 10 years. Now I am back to an industry job working with a small team. While working with PeopleSoft I have been in many roles including functional support, system administration, and development.

My background is IT. I started my career providing Mac desktop support. I performed this at a defense contractor and several publishing companies. I evolved into working with EDI, Windows, networking, telephony, Unix/Linux. I had the benefit of working in smaller organizations which allowed me to be involved with many technologies.

I am entrenched in the Apple ecosystem for my personal technology usage. I am Windows focused for work. I have interest in development technologies other than PeopleSoft. I attempted iOS develoment but did not make it very far. There is a lot involved with it and it didn't click with me in my two attempts. There is more to it than learning Swift.

I am now focusing on Python. We are using it a little at work and I have a couple of ideas for using it personally. One of which is this blog which is on a Linode instance. Right now it's just a static site created with Nikola. I mostly chose Nikola because it is built with Python, has the features I care about now and has good documentation.
